Getting over myself :p

I'm using this portion of the 50 day challenge to erect some solid structure in my life because I feel like I have all the pieces of my life puzzle laid out on the table in front of me, but I need some sort of framework to make sense of it, to get it to be functional. So I connected with Raphael the archangel through meditation. He and one of my other guides have given me the first layer of my structure... and it's all about health and fitness.... sigh

I don't know what it is about eating and exercising that has me so turned off as of late. I've dealt with the healing aspects and I've been consistently losing weight, but to be honest, right now I think I'm just so focused on work and anything that takes me away from it, even food, aggravates me... really not a good attitude. :p

I've learned through trial and spectacular failure, however, that my life only works when I submit myself in faith to what I hear in mediation. So I will put health and fitness as my first layer, but it's SO not going to be easy, but then, real change never is. Real change is about switching up the momentum and I always think back to steering a canoe, once you have the thing clipping along in the water, shifting direction is NOT easy! However, with strength, focus and determination, it's totally doable.

I threw a bit of a mini tantrum over this the other day, but after putting it into practice for a day I realized how well it actually works! Today though, I'm just off my game across the board... stressing too, which has become so unlike me that the stress is making me stress!!! good grief!

LOL I may be losing it here!

Anyway, my structure looks like this...


10a - 12p

  • wake
  • drink 8 oz of water
  • make tea (let steep 20 minutes while meditating)
  • meditate and stretch
  • drink tea
  • have large breakfast with 2 protein sources from food list
  • 12 minute workout
  • finish 32 oz of water

2-3:30

  • 12 minute workout
  • light meal
  • tea
  • walk
  • finish second 32 oz of water
6:30-8pm

  • 12 minute workout
  • dinner

8pm-12am

  • alternate belly dance work out with yoga
  • light meal
  • tea
  • finish third 32 oz water
  • meditation


The 12 minute workout is a series of stretching, free weights, planking and squats... they are CLEARLY trying to kill me!!!! That being said, I really like this graphic, it makes me see why the whole planking thing is worth the torture.

Do you see the core strength this will build? And let's face it, I'm in that category of not getting any younger and I'm already seeing ways my body and my strength are deteriorating. No offense to those that enjoy a quiet senior life, but I am NOT going to grow old, sit in a rocker and reminisce about my youth!

I intend to stay vital, vibrant, and relevant until the day my work in this realm is done!

Sigh... but that's gonna require work, like planking. :p

I take the 50 day challenge seriously, it's hyper focusing on one or two small things, but I learned the first time I did this that you can have major breakthroughs that ripple across the whole rest of you life. I want that. So I'll do what it takes... even planking.


So that's how my journey is going so far, I think we're 11 or 12 days in so there's still enough time to get this thing down and believe me I will!
